The somewhat cryptic band OK Star Orchestra serves up instrumental music that sneaks up on you like a lion in the savanna. Beautiful, harmonic and peaceful from afar but when you come closer you realize the power and energy that lies within.
The band consists of musicians with backgrounds in a wide spectrum of musical styles where simple melodies, groove and the playfulness are the main ingredients. The final result is something very unique.
In November 2011 OK Star Orchestra released their third album, “The Beat And The Melody”. Their albums as well as their live performances have been received with great enthusiasm by both audiences and critics. In 2011 OK Star Orchestra won the Manifest Prize for their second album “Sound Classique” with the motivation:
